Exploring Bermuda

Somebody pinch me! I cant believe that I was just on an fabulous cruise to Bermuda! The ship docked at the Royal Naval Dockyard on the west end of the island. On the first day we chartered a catamaran, courtesy of FantaSea. Our captain, Stephen, took us where ever we wanted to go. We went snorkeling, visited a ship wreck circa. 1726, looked for sea glass and booze cruised around the island with Bermuda's drink of choice - Rum Swizzle.  The rest of our trip was spent exploring the pink (yes pink!) sand beaches of Horse Shoe Bay and looking for sea glass at Black Bay beach. We also explored the town and stopped at an old cemetery where you can still read tomb stones of those who died as long ago as 1820's. There was also a lot to do at port like shop, eat rum cake and shop some more. We got to see local artist make beautiful pieces out of glass, clay and jewelry from the pretty pink sand. These photos are just a glimpse of what I experienced. If you ever get a chance to visit, you wont be able to put your camera down.

Cheers!
